ZHONG CHENG

Born in Xian, China. Shih graduated in 1982 form Xian Academy of Fine Arts. In 1986, graduated from the Central Academy of Applied Arts. Lives and Works in Beijing now. Award for excellence at the tenth national art exhibition in 2004. Solo Exhibition: “Shi Jianmin’s Sculpture‧Painting” at Xin Dong Cheng Space for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China, 2007. Group Exhibition: “Tenth National Art Exhibition- awarded works”, National Museum of Fine Arts, Beijing, China, 2004; “Awakening: Mandarin France”, National Museum of Fine Arts, Beijing, 2005; “Inspired by China”, Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, USA, 2006; “Inspired by China”, Museum of Art and Design, New York, USA, 2007; “ Chinese Fantasies” at Found Museum, Beijing, China 2008. The Peabody Essex Museum in USA also collected his art works.
