“My attitude toward life is to make a living and living itself is art.”

Yang Po-Lin

Yang Po-Lin’s dialogues demonstrate a strong sense of individuality through his creative works. Living and art are interrelated in the sense that the taste for art comes from experiences in life. He specializes in self-reflection and expression of vigor for life as life is taken to a higher level, to the instincts of human nature.

Yang’s sculpture work is a breakthrough from traditions (i.e. Sculpture is a mass surrounded by space) as space penetrates through the sculpture, becomes a part of it, and integrates as one. Yang further applied this concept in Mass Art where abstract, simple, and prominent images lead the audience into the vastness of imagination.

“One will see the high-spirited soul as one enters the window of art and soul.”

Yang Po-Lin

Yang’s versatility and creativity inside out is seen in all parts of Taiwan. ‘Dancing on One’s Land’ is a piece of work that demonstrates anticipation, self-achievement, and handwork. Light penetrates through it to create a spectra effect and contrast of light and shadow. The abstract image displays a more powerful life force than any other solid image.
