Wang Shiu-Kung preferred the various color glazes, his strong wish was to interpret his idea of art by means of pottery, with color glazes through firing process. Wang Shiu-Kung proceeded application of glaze on pottery platters by using air compressing sprayer to produce ceramic plates featuring various styles. Based on sketch drawing or ideas on his mind, Wang Shiu-Kung was very careful in applying glazes. That the area of the applied glaze is much larger than the drawing by brush, the strength of the sprayer, the distance between the sprayer and the object and the thickness of each layer of glaze have affected the quality of the final works. No mistake is allowed in the process of applying glaze. It is more difficult in making ceramic pieces than in paintings because of the different materials.
