Yang Po-Lin’s sculpture has an inner strength which has strong vitality. He shows his pursuit for primitive art in a simple form and combines it with contemporary art which disregards arrogance and mere show off. His aura and memory is accumulated and compiled in his artworks.

“Art is my life” --- to Yang Po Lin, art is as natural as breathing, inspirations are everywhere whereas giving a new beginning of life in a new era and begin a new life journey- - Life is adventure, dialogue with beings. Only listening with a humble state of mind will fulfill the deepest desire. Yang Po-Lin wants to provoke viewer’s energy for our nature, an energy that can be passed down in time, which embodies extraordinary cultural significant bringing out unique sparks.

Sculpture is the most abstract yet practical form of style. Under sunshine, “Here I Am” reveals a harmonious coordination between colors in the surroundings releasing stirring beauty.  The enormous strength and size do not compromise his love for the land.  Yang Po Lin uses his environment, personal reflection on natural sceneries and reminisces the essence of his emotions.  Yang Po Lin transforms traditional rules for language, symbols and composition into a special discovery of language.
