ZHONG CHENG

鄭在東 ZHENG ZAIDONG (b.1953)

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Zheng graduated from the Taipei World Vocational School of Journalism. Active in the Taiwan art world during the 1980’s and 1990’s, he created gloomy and reminiscent oil paintings. Since 1980s he held many exhibitions in Taiwan and overseas like American Cultural Center, Taipei Fine Art Museum, Taiwan National Museum of History. He received the Shiung-Shih Award for Creativity in 1992. Zheng relocated to Shanghai and became the first Taiwanese artist who develops his career in Shanghai.
