ZHONG CHENG

楊仁明 YANG RENMING (b.1962)

Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Yang graduated from Fine Art Department of Chinese Culture University in 1985; he received the Hsiung Shih Best New Artist award in the same year. From 1988 to 1944, he studied abroad in France. Later, he received M.F.A. Fine Arts from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2006, and established the “Hantoo” club with several Taiwan artists such as Yang Maolin and Kuo Weikuo in the same year. Yang has attained many renowned exhibitions at home and abroad, including the “Hantoo” joint exhibitions; Taejeon ’91 Triennale in Korea; “New plants grown from Black water” in the 8th Fukuoka Asian Art Museum international art fair and the exhibits in Chongqing city, China, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art. Solo exhibitions: “Between imagination and reality”, American Cultural Center, Taipei, 1991; “The Education man” dual solo exhibition, Chicago Gallery, America, 1993; “New Plants Grown from Black Water”, Galocrie Pierre, Taichung, Taiwan, 1994; and the solo exhibition in Taipei Fine Arts Museum(1997), Kaohsiung Sin Pin Pier(2000) and Taipei Naihai Gallery(2006).
