Exposition:

A former printmaking professor of Saint-Etienne School of Art, Claude Weisbuch was born in the eastern French province of Lorraine. A representative of the Paris new figurative painting style painters, he was awarded the French art critic Award in 1961. His works were widely collected in Paris Pompidou Center, Paris Municipal Museum of Modern Art, New York Museum of Modern Art, the Amsterdam Museum of Art, Netherlands and the Royal College of Brussels.

Claude Weisbuch likes to adopt stories from ordinary people, such as: the circus clown, opera actor, orator, knights, and the protagonist of this work “Cellist” – the fanatic musician reveled in the notes. The artistic atmosphere of the picture created by the delicate composition of the art painter makes people involuntarily go into the picture in which the flowing lines and pure brown tone cleverly interact with each other. Instantly freeze the images of the characters in motion to perform dynamic characters by photo-way of repeated exposure. Like Daumier in love with the carved figure, the artist’s concern about the expression of character depicted accurately every movement of the character, and with pure lines the beauty of life was instantly condensed for eternity.
