Exposition:

“To me, the importance of painting is not painting itself, rather it is the process of self exploration of life’s origin that matters. It records life experiences and feelings; and a fulfillment of one’s dreams.”

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        —Hsiao Chin

In  The Power of Universe - 217 , dense and continual lines fill up the presentation of the picture. It is equivillent to China’s Taichi which focuses on slow but strong movements, it comes with a deep breathing rhythm which allows the body, the mind and universe to move in one. It forms an entirety in the vast background. The brushstrokes exist in juxtaposition and the spiritual traces are still maintained, and through the accumulation and passing of time, a new interpretation of life appears. To Hsiao Chin, the universe formed of texture is not only a physical world, but also a philosophical and theoretical spiritual world. The orders of all things can be explained and a perfect balance can be reached. The spirit is so then comprehended, transcended and stabilized.
