He Qing’s oil painting on Chinese history do not focus on a specific historical figure or single event; yet, it unveils the thoughts in history- the message inspires the contemporary Along with imaginations, the figure no longer express pure heroism, but shows the double facet of liveliness and solitude. 


The general with armor in 《千秋》has a solemn and steady figure. The eyes glanced at the fleets as though it could see through the minds. The painting shows the common believe of human beings and a racial spirit. A historical figure in modern spaces could serve as metaphors of the past and now, achieving a solemn, sophistical epic like background. It reflects the passing of history, and expresses the grievance and emotion outpour.
