Zhou Chun Ya’s《桃花始盛開》faithfully reflects his talents discovering the potentials and possibilities in colors. His direct brushstrokes reveal a powerful narrative art language. His art style reflects his intrinsic wishes in retaining Chinese traditional culture and customs. Meanwhile, he experimented with different colors, forms and materials to create an art style that blends eastern and western worlds in one. The dynamic facets of Zhou Chun Ya’s artworks show his profound academic knowledge, surging creativity and self-realization development. 

Zhou Chun Ya believes that time will nurture art language, and it is related to the individual’s culture, personal enrichment and also one’s perspective in life. Looking back at the art language from the artworks in 1990s:“「山石」、「綠狗」、「桃花」series show the artist’s thoughts and realization in life. 《桃花始盛開》reflects the artist’s self-reflection looking back in time, the topic shows dynamic and also the sustainability of Chinese traditional humanism and the materials. In 「綠狗」, the rich emerald embellishes the grassland, the botany tree grows deep into the ground with branches stretching above. The beautiful contrast between the leaves and botany blossom brings out the livelihood and happiness in the painting. The rocks on the side show steadiness and subtleness which resemble the co-existence of rationality and impulse. A sophisticated implication behind natural landscape, it is a perfect combination of harmony. 

The current development of Chinese contemporary art focuses on issues related to politics, society, humanism and economy. Zhou Chun Ya is particularly interested in social developments, and shows his ambition in sustaining humanism and cultural spirits which reflect the current social circumstances in China. In《桃花始盛開》, the abundant botany blossoms, the rich colors and vigorous vitality  are artistic gifts from Zhou Chun Ya to encourage the hearts of viewers.
