Phoenix, born of life, symbolizes the unfailing force. In 1977, yu Yang watched the laser arts in Kyoto, Japan. Moved by the laser arts, he made the first laser-cut sculpture in Taiwan – “the fire of life”. This sparking gold creation with flame rolling up around presents entire vitality. The phoenix holding up its head proudly inside sweeping flames appears serene and looks around charmingly giving us an impression that fire is part of phoenix. It is also like the incarnation of the god of fire bringing the fire of life.
