Lin Shienmao’s paintings feature delicate and agile expressive techniques, it is full of harmonious emotions and spiritual rhythm; the delicate and misty scene further intrigues the audiences with abundant energy and vibrant vitality of the carps. Diverse colors and lively lines allow free and unbounded strokes to capture the dynamic beauty of light and shadow. Lin’s work conveys an independent artistic expression that further highlights the theme of movements.  

Passionate about art, Lin spent the majority of his life traveling to various continents in pursuit of furthering his creative career. With expanded horizon, he reveals inner emotions through abstract colors and shadows, “in a subconscious state of mind, I release the true emotions buried by rationality, in search of returning to my origin,” said Lin. 

The harmonious agility and vitality of the painting break away from all restrictions of form, displaying an enlightened energy of life. The carp also bears an auspicious meaning of fortune. Beneath the dazzling splashes, the vibrant carps transform turbulences of life into poetic image. Reflecting through soft moonlight are the carps' scale shimmering beneath the water conveying the artist’s sentiments.
