To determine a man’s facial expression in a certain way is a mere excuse, or an illusion which I have deliberately created. It ‘s a door, an important and a easier access I opened for my viewers. To me, this is a way for viewers from different levels to enter and get involved with my work. It’s as if the work should be easily understood. Something simple such as‘ah,it’s a painting of facial expressions’ could be casually perceived from my work；however, the depth, as in most cases, is hidden behind the simplicity. Hence when you dive into my work, you may be confused and puzzled. The is due to the fact that there are such much more than just‘facial expression’in the painting in front of you；at this stage you would start to feel, and to encounter all sorts of inner human emotions, thus the ‘facial expression’wouldn’t be just what you saw at the beginning. I am particularly fond of bringing this experience of paradox to the viewers；first straight forward but later on with in depth and wonderful bewilderment, such feeling in this case is brought to the heart and mind through sight.
