Yao Juichung the work“Golden Baby”,the artist has applied a great deal of gold leaf to represent the Taiwanese people’s obsession with using gold th display wealth at weddings, funerals, maternity celebrations and religious folk festivals. The artist constructed a kind of gaudy and surreal atmosphere to represent consumer culture’s popular trend of money worship and various strange intersectiong phenomena of idolatry and celebrity asulation in Taiwan..
