“Tiger and Nude Women”  is a surrealistic painting by Sadji according to his imagination and recollection. “Tiger and Nude Women” with forthright brush work and unsophiscated color, having some features of Impressionism and Expressionism on the basis of realistic style, show the artist sharp eye of observation and rich imagination, expressing both of his love for the nature and his wonderful ideal of life and society.

 

Sadji was born in 1914, the year of “Tiger”. The ancient Chinese idea calls tight “the king of animals”, and it has been considered by Chinese as a symbol of power and boldness. , Sadji often paints tiger as self analogy, so the tiger he paints has majestic and solemn man-ner.
