Exposition:

Cho Yeoujui engaged in Photographic Art (also known as Super Realism) and was the first to sketch through projector slides. In the early 1970s, his banana in oil paints (15 frames) of the rise and fall of life were misinterpreted by the conservatives as “awakening of female consciousness.” Despite the downfall of Photographic Art s due to the overwhelming influence of Minimal Art in the United States, Cho held onto his belief for art and insisted on using photographs to vividly portray paintings and interpret the “spirituality” of modern society.

Cho is fascinated by walls that have withstood the test of time. He used scenes from major cities around the world as his material to trace history and project his inner sensitivity. The abstractive but intriguing philosophy was therefore transformed from the realistic texture of the painting.
