The Western collage art is a concept in which artist employs ready-made objects for the artwork. Xue Song excerpted this idea and used ready-made image, text, along with an innovative burning technique to interpret traditional culture. He used collage to rearrange the image elements, and utilized cultural symbols to present the multi-layered creative concept. His approach was indeed unique in the visual image in Chinese Contemporary Art.
