When it comes to describing Pan De Hai’s early works, tranquility would be the best choice. During the period when the chubby icons Bao Mi have not appeared in ''The violinist'', the color tones and compositions are tranquil, the dark blue background creating a quiet visual image. The violinist is seemingly performing an elegant tune is an implication of modern people’s spiritual crisis. It is also something Pen De Hai desires to present. To him, the violinist even without an audience, is close to the modern spirit because of his faith for his own affection, bringing out a deeper meaning.
