Li Chen pursuits the spirits and essence of oriental culture with sculptures. He broke through the barriers of Buddhism sculpture form of the millennium, and presented his artwork with a shocking visual energy that transcends time. Influenced by classical Buddhism and Daoism, the art form is natural but rich in essence; meanwhile, he still maintained a touch of modernism to create his personalized sculpture language that differs from the tradition. “Wondering in Fairyland” sculpture presents a sense of Zen but with a slight delight; it is simple yet sophisticated in form and truly shows his observation of the culture and the world along with the impression and values of Oriental humanism culture. It is indeed a true representation of Oriental philosophical spirits.
