From the vast heavy industrialized Chinese North East, Liu Lei’s topics are very masculine and rigid.  His work focused on locomotives, trains and ships and some scenery. His most representative work is the Harley-Davidson motorcycle and trains, which both reflected his vivid characteristic. 
The unrestrained and overbearing work of “Harley-Davidson” shows the contemporariness and the urban spirit.
