Wang Ke Ping is the key person of The Stars Art, China.  The simple yet meaningful sculptures pushed him to become one of the most representative artists in 1979.  In the same year, democracy movement was brought about in Beijing, a new cultural thinking was called into place and new artists challenged old school authorities.  Artist revolutionized the long term self- repression into personal freedom and autonomy.  In all, they have a broader horizon for creating more dynamic artworks.  Wang Ke Ping was invigorated by this new cultural thought and became one of the pioneers of the time.

Wang Ke Ping is accomplished in showing the exuberance of wood sculpting.  He regards natural phenomena as a presentation of life; therefore, when the humanistic side of wood is brought out along with his skilled cutting, sculpting and polishing, the original state of that piece of wood can be conserved.  Natural features such as lines, cracks, scars, annual rings are kept intact.  His artworks are constantly in change, yet the lines and figures are combined with a Yin-Yang implication.  “Body” shows the beauty of symmetry in human body, making the original texture of the wood and human figure in one.  It achieves an overall balance with utilizing the simplistic natural beauty to raise awareness of importance of the human body.  Wang Ke Peng applied native African sculpting features to his artwork and brought a natural satisfaction to the heart.  Working on the same idea as images coexist with meaning, movement with thoughts, with the most natural approach, the artwork amalgamated form and content, idea and object.  . All these are the epitome of humanization and human vitality.
