Zhu Wei’s Chinese ink-wash paintings and sculptures show a flamboyant style.  Since 1993, debut in many international art exhibitions and had held more than 20 personal exhibitions worldwide.  There are more than 7 versions of his personal art portfolio and are collected by more than 20 art museums and national museums.  His sculpting career commenced in 1990, his rare artworks are collected by various multinational corporations and foundations.

Zhu Wei’s artworks are solemn and unmitigated, aimed at changing the pace of Chinese traditional way of expressing culture into something that blends with the fast changing Chinese modern history.

Looking back at the magnetic Qin and Han dynasties of China, both produced magnificent mausoleum sculptures. They are huge, arduous, ancient and pragmatic which resemble strength, show the immortality of life and open mindedness and rationality toward mortality.  With the most direct and eternal form of sculpture to show unyielding spirits and free wills. The artworks extol the greatness of life and spiritual gifts among generations.

“China China Leaning Forward 2” is Zhu Wei’s most famous sculpture. Two big figures dressed in …, they resemble the  from Qin dynasty, standing in front up right. The height and size are of different ratios, Zhu Wei hid their facial expressions, the bodies and necks show a slight tendency bending to the front. A sculpture in the back glances forward, the front sculpture looks into the far sky, these show the emphasis on experience passing among generations and syncing with the time, looking forward into the future.
