Li Shuang’s paintings are full of subtle warm atmosphere; she created with an elegant and detached attitude, and gradually healed her sadness to create a pure and tranquil aesthetic. Regardless the topic or picture, in  “The Lily Lady” classical eternity is highlighted. The usual Oriental female figure remains with Asian eyes, cherry ips and oval face, the fragile and slender figure outlines her nobility. The thin colors, gentle contrast, balance color tones give a tranquil and peaceful feeling. The scenery behind the female is like dawn, the slowly rising white flowers symbolize the distillation of her mood. This perfect artistic concept is the remake of Li Shuang’s internal state. Her longing for Oriental tradition, her sorrow of the past, her expectation of the future intertwined into lively human figures full of vitality and transforming the outer turbulence into inner self liberation. It not only reflects the tight connection between the self and the world, but also allows the viewers to experience the sincerity and harmony in one’s heart.

“Justice said to art, you should be closet to humans’ souls…art is the food  for human’s existence, it is also the tool for communication between ourselves, the world and others.”

--- Li Shuang
