Wei Guang Ching’s Culture wishes to utilize the rich resources of Chinese traditions and transform it into a symbolic image of contemporary Chinese culture. The “Thirty-six Stratagems” hid the number 36 in lineal symbols, and painted traditional books such as the Thirty Six Stratagems at the base. It is managed as transparent as a veil, giving it a mysterious feel which is an important element in oriental culture. The layering of the images and implications fortified the narration powers of his paintings.
