“After 2005, I was inspired the quote “there is an inter­mingling of the genial influences of heaven and earth, and the transformation of all things proceeds abundantly,” from I Ching: Book of Changes and created the “mist” series. The mist represents the atmosphere in our universe, and the transformation of all things. These art series expressed the origin of the universe, chi, with human’s emotions. The thick and heavy brushstrokes represent the origin of all things are equivalent to Lao Tsu’s belief: “paying attention to the origin of all things”. Through the ascending and descending; still and moving; win and lose of the black and white symbols, the artist implied the contradiction and intertwining between things.
