Exposition：

Zhang Nian’s oil paintings and sculptures related with “egg” show his hope and expectations for the country. “Egg, Chinese Dream No. 15” has National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Forbidden City as the main characters to symbolize the “past” and “current” of Chinese history. The huge egg is a new building in an old city, as well as presence of The Forbidden City in Beijing, they are representative buildings of the contemporary. They are also given spiritual representations of Chinese nationalism and strong political and economic power.  With dark and bright colors interweaving, the natural skylines are revealed, showing a surreal image.
