With thick brush strokes, Liao created a dense feeling of the majestic Guan Yin Mountain. The texture of the mountain is not only rich, but also subtly emphasized the peaks and ridges. The indigo purple deepens the color and weight, creating a mystical feeling in this tranquil picture. The changing brushstrokes used in the front scene differentiated the green land, creating a simplified and irregular composition of the house and greens. Viewers can only see the flowing lines, and simplified dots, lines and dimensions on the canvas, creating a harmonious balance with the far scene. The solid and sophisticated structure echoes with impressionist artist Paul Cezanne’s “Mont Sainte-Victoire”. The straight triangle stabilized the picture, symbolizing the eternity of natural landscape, creating an elegant and conserved atmosphere.
