Recognized as one of the most influential artists in the 20th Century, Jeff Koons was born in Pennsylvania US in 1955. He excels at finding objects and impressions from common culture and then combining them in a different translation. He analyzed the psychology of the mass and combined dramatic techniques and imagination of the subconscious together. He successfully presented an avant-garde art form through consumerism and popular topics to present popular frippery products. An expert in creating topics and self-marketing, Koons believes that an attention getter is the purpose of art creation. Some consider his artworks too vulgar and claptrap; some things that he is the pioneer in a different art spirit. Koons said “if the Beetles were artists, they will create what I am doing now. Nobody will say that their music isn’t up to par because they cater to the mass and this is exactly what I’m aiming for.”
