Chiu Was born in Yi-lan on the east coast of Taiwan. A loner and an underachiever in school, he began his mandatory military service and at the same time began to read. He called himself a wanderer in the cities, he will draw the people who passed by randomly. He paints before sunset and writes novel during the night time day after day. He became more and more famous and was widely known as painting portrait. His painting style was influenced by Tang Dynasty, peaceful and elegant, but in the mean time we can feel the complex and deepness in it. It reflects the independent personality of Chiu and how he feels about the delicate of life. 

Chiu's works was once exhibited in Taipei Spring Gallery, National Museum of History, Mational Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts...etc, even Hong Kong, U.S.A and other eastern countries can see his works, his last exhibition in Ming Art Gallery was the most popular one. The later year of Chiu was suffered from Alzheimer's disease and passed away due to multiple organs failure. He left us paintings and novels to look back his remarkable but desolate life. 

Chiu stood against the chahging of the world. He composed the deepness of mind through delicate brushwork, he intends to express the joyful and the sadness of life that everyone would encountered including the melancholy of birth, aging, illness and death. Chiu use his painting to explain the meaning of life seeking, this lot was more then just showing the figure or the appearance of the lady, it reflects the sprite of Chinese fine arts.
