ZHONG CHENG

鈕釦丹 NYOCHOTAN ( b.1995 )

Born in Indonesia and currently based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, this artist's work merges Japanese cartoon aesthetics with Indonesian culture. The paintings often feature two-dimensional young girls, incorporating symbols, text, or cartoon animals. These girls are sometimes dressed in recognizable costumes, creating vibrant and flat visual effects.

In 2020, the artist was invited to participate in the opening exhibition of Beijing's 42 Art Space, "42 IS," alongside other young international trend artists.

Major solo exhibitions include: "U Design Week" (2023, Hangzhou, China, Hangzhou International Expo Center), "Magical Dimensions" (2023, Beijing, China, 42 Art Space).
