Emerging artist Jung Yeo Eun, born in 1992 in South Korea, graduated in 2020 from the Department of Fine Arts at Sejong University College of Arts and Sports. She integrates the classic Japanese cartoon character "Magical Princess Minky Momo," one of her childhood favorites, into her artwork. She uses a variety of techniques, including collage and graffiti, to create her compositions. Through her creative and carefully thought-out designs, she pays homage to the 1980s classic anime from the perspective of a 90s kid. Unlike simply enjoying the original cartoons, she conveys nostalgia and girlish charm by incorporating detailed traces left by handcrafted media, along with carefully arranged imagery and brushstrokes.
Since 2020, Jung Yeo Eun has been actively participating in various art fairs across South Korea, Taiwan, and other places, and has collaborated with other artists on various projects. She has also held solo exhibitions at several well-known galleries in South Korea.
