Born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, in 1987, Yuta Okuda studied fashion design in Japan and the UK. He worked as a designer for a fashion brand before transitioning to a career in art in 2016. In his early work, he often used meticulously designed lines to create detailed pieces. In recent years, his work has focused on floral themes, with petals portrayed in vibrant colors and intricate details. He mentioned that his experience during COVID-19 made him realize that many things previously taken for granted should be appreciated with gratitude, a sentiment reflected in his art.
