楊納 YANG NA (b.1982)

Yang Na, born in 1982, graduated from the oil painting department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2006. She is a surrealist artist from Sichuan, known for her works that combine multiple perspectives and thought-provoking fusion themes with unreal realism. She is skilled in using vivid and bright colors and partial portrayal of surreal associations to capture the attention of viewers. Her unique composition and multi-faceted viewpoints convey a special relationship and emotional attachment between humans and nature. The moderate narrative description increases the readability of her works and is like Yang Na's ode to life. The female figures presented in Yang Na's works are actually symbols of her inner world, reflecting the personality and colors of contemporary young women.

Yang Na once said: "The images in my works were originally processed from subjective deformation of realism, condensing and typifying life experiences into art. Therefore, I employ exaggerated artistic techniques. The purpose of this technique is first to elevate it to an art form, generating aesthetic symbols and becoming a form of artistic beauty. Second, to convey images that are more beautiful than natural objects. Third, to better convey the spirit, highlight the artistic features, and enhance the artistic appeal by expressing my artistic concepts through these forms and styles."

Since obtaining her master's degree, Yang Na has been focusing on her artistic creations. In 2010, she participated in the "Wu. Ti" creative exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei. In 2012, she also participated in the "Future Pass" touring exhibition in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and became the main visual artist of the exhibition. Her works, characterized by strong visual colors and imagery close to the heart, have attracted attention from art professionals and collectors.
