亞歷克斯.費斯 (帕查拉波爾.唐魯恩) ALEX FACE (PATCHARAPOL TANGRUEN)

Alex Face, the most well-known and influential artist in Thailand today, was born in 1981 in the small town of Buri Ram in eastern Thailand. He studied architecture at the King Mongkut's Institute of Technology and obtained a degree in Fine and Applied Arts. Since 2002, Alex Face has been creating street graffiti, often featuring his own face as the subject, which is where his name "Face" comes from.

The iconic character in Alex Face's work is the "three-eyed rabbit" - Mardi. The inspiration for this character came from the birth of his daughter, and the character's name is also named after his daughter. When he first saw his daughter, her expression showed displeasure and unease, which made him wonder if she was unhappy about being his daughter. At the same time, Thailand was also experiencing many changes in society, economy, environment, etc., which inspired the creation of the character. Even though he is now internationally renowned and constantly invited to exhibit his work, he still maintains the habit of requesting the organizers to help find suitable locations for him to create graffiti whenever he visits a new city. He sees street art as a tool for conveying personal appeals to the public and using it to express his concerns about social issues, which shows that Alex Face, as an artist, has a strong sense of responsibility for society.

In recent years, Alex Face has held solo and group exhibitions in Venice, Chicago, Los Angeles, Reunion Island, Singapore, Tokyo, and Taiwan in 2021, and has created significant attention and achieved remarkable sales results.
