ZHONG CHENG

Matt Gondek was born in 1982 in Pittsburgh PA, currently based in LA. He is an American Pop Artist that specializes in painting Deconstructed Pop Icons. His signature style of painting fractures pop icons of our childhood with exploding heads, liquefying bodies, eye-missing and bone-showing qualities. His artwork resonates with cartoons, comic books and video-games from the 80s. Characters from The Simpson, Disney, Super Mario can often be seen in many of his works. His recent exhibitions include: “Matt Gondek: Growing Pains” (Avenue des Arts, Hong Kong); “Matt Gondek: Clean Break” (Avenue des Arts, New York); “Cartoon” (Moosey Art, United Kingdom), “Matt Gondek: Glow in the Dark” (Gabba Gallery, Los Angeles).
