ZHONG CHENG

王信明 WONG SHUN MING (Kenny) (b.1968)

Kenny Wong Shun Ming was born in Hong Kong in 1968. He graduated top of his class in Advertisement and Design at the Caritas Bianchi College of Careers. He was originally the art director for “BrothersWorker” a toy design team based in Hong Kong. He established his own creative workshop called, “KENNYSWORK” in 2006. Meanwhile, he took the position of vice president at the Hong Kong Society of Illustrators from 2009 until 2011; and was listed as the top 10 illustrators in Hong Kong. His most prominent work includes “Molly the Painter” and “Copperhead-18.” In the past, he had collaborated with Italian designer Simone Legno, Japanese Designer Shinichiro Kitai and Japan’s first mechanical designer Kunio Okawara; along with brands like Uniqlo and STAYREAL that launched a licensed product line for MOLLY. His works were shown at Hong Kong Art Centre, Hong Kong Cultural Center, Hong Kong University Museum, Hong Kong Art Basel 2013, Art Macau 2013, Beijing Sanlitun, Tainan Kun Shan University, Seoul National University, and Wrong Gallery Taipei. His recent exhibitions include “My Castle by Kenny Wong” (2014, Wrong Gallery, Taipei); “The Woods of Childhood” (2015, SYNTREND, Taipei); “Kenny Wong Solo Exhibition” (2010, Design Gallery, Hong Kong).
