Lee Chun Yi was born in 1965 in Kaoshiung, Taiwan, he later immigrated to Hong Kong in 1970. He first graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, he then continued postgraduate study at the Department of Fine Arts in Tunghai University of Taiwan. He also completed a doctorate degree in Chinese Art History at Arizona State University. He is currently teaching at the National Taiwan Normal University. His works are in the permanent collection of National Taiwan Arts Education Center, Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archeology, University of Oxford, M. Sackler Museum at the Harvard University, Phoenix Art Museum, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Jiangsu Art Museum and more. He was invited by galleries like Michael Goedhuis, Hanart TZ and more to exhibit both domestically and internationally. Lee Chun Yi also participated in various group exhibitions by Saatchi Gallery in London, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, National Art Museum of China in Beijin, Hong Kong Museum of Art, etc. His recent exhibitions include: “Lee Chun Yi Contemporary Ink Exhibition” (2019, Mingshan Art, Taipei); “In Pairs.
