ZHONG CHENG

Born in Wuhan, Hubei. He graduated in 1991 from the Hubei Fine Arts Institute where he studied oil printing. His well-known series─Mask, has worked on in recent years, comments on the distrust, jealousy, concealment and deception between people in modern society. He had attended many international group exhibition: “New Art from China”, Der Haus der Kulture das Welt, Hamburg, 1995; “China!”, touring exhibition in Germany, Austria, Poland, and Denmark, 1996; the 48th Venice Biennale, 1999; “Towards a New Image-Twenty Years of Contemporary Chinese Painting”, touring exhibition in Beijing Shanghai, Guanzhou, and Chengdu, 2001.
