PARK SEOBO  (b.1931)

 

Born in Seoul, graduated form College of Fine Art Hong-Ik University Seoul , Korea and got Honorary Doctorial Degree on Art Theory Hong-Ik University. Exhibitions: “the 3rd Pairs Biennial”, 1963; “the 8th San Paulo’s Biennial”, Brazil, 1965; “the 13th San Paulo’s Biennial”, Brazil, 1975; ACE Gallery, Los Angeles, USA, 2002. Recent Exhibitions: “Seoul Art Fair”, Seoul; “CIGE2004”, Beijing, 2004; “CIGE2006”, Beijing, 2006; “KIAF2006”, Samtuh Gallery, Seoul, 2006; ARARIO Gallery, Beijing; “CIGE2007”, Beijing, 2007. Works are collected by museums as The National Seoul Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo Museum of Contemporary Art, The Contemporary Museum of Hong-lk University, Seoul .

 

FANG LIJUN  (b.1963)

Born in Hebei, graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in1989. As one of the most renowned from the Post 80’s generation of artists, Fang has had his solo exhibitions at leading galleries and national museums worldwide. Selected group exhibitions include: ”the Contemporary Art of China”, National Art Museum of China, Beijing, 1989; the touring exhibition “China/ Avant Garde” which traveled to Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and the UK in 1993; “ Alors, la Chine?, The Pompidou Center, Paris, 2003; “China, the body everywhere?”, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Marseilles, France, 2004; and “New Work/ New Acquisitions”, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2006.

 

YAYOI KUSAMA (b.1929)

Born in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan, and major in Japanese painting at Kyoto Fine Arts School of Craftsmanship. Kusama moved to New York City in 1957, and started to show her outstanding talent in avant-garde art. Yayoi Kusama’s works are largely admired in Japan and abroad, presenting an impressive history of a variety of exhibitions both in solo and in groups. Selected exhibitions include, “Kusama’s Retrospective”, Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, Walker Art Center Minneapolis, MOMA New York and Country Museum of Art Los Angeles, 1998-1999; “American Century”, Whitney Museum of Art, New York, 1999; Museum of Contemporary Art, Sapporo, 2004; “Summer of Love- Art of the psychedelic Era”, Tate Liverpool, Liverpool, 2005; “International Avant-Garde of the 50s and 60s”, Musee d’Art Moderne, Saint-Etienne, France, and “IDOL!”, Yokohama Museum of Art, Kanagawa, Japan, 2006; “Yayoi Kasama, Dots Obsession , Love transformed into Dots”, Haus der Kunst, Munich, Germany, 2007.
