ZHONG CHENG

梅丁衍 DEAN-E MEI (b.1954)

Born in Taipei and currently living in Taipei. Graduated from College of Arts, Chinese Cultural University in 1977. He obtained NFA from Prott, New York in 1985. Dedicated to issues in cultural and political identifies during the stay in the U.S. and participated in art exhibition of community awareness. In 1992, he returned to Taiwan to join the localization campaign for Taiwanese fine arts and continued to publish works of topical events concerning politics and society. In 2003, upon the invitation from Museum of   

Contemporary Art for a 20-year review exhibition. Tashin Art Award in 2004. Currently a professor or Graduate School of Printmaking National Taiwan University of Arts. Work are collected by museums in Taiwan and overseas.
