ZHONG CHENG

李自建 LI ZIJIAN (b.1954)

Born in Shaoyang City in the Hunan Province of china in 1954, Li Zijian is a famous Chinese oil painter residing in the U.S., a member of the American Oil Painters Association, and a member of the China Artists Association as well. He started learning to pain since 15 years old and joining provincial and national art exhibitions since 18 years old. In 1977, he was enrolled by the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts due to the excellent score. After graduation in 1982, he established an oil painting association in Hunan and serced as the Executive chairman of the Hunan Artists Association. He then immigrated to Los Angeles, California, United States in 1988. In 2004, he was conferred the Constantine St. John Order and bestowed the title "Sir of the Imperial Byzantine Order of the star of Asia" by H.I.R.H. Prince Henri Constantine III Paleologo in person.
