ZHONG CHENG

陳淑光 CHEN SHUGUANG

Born in Beijing, China, Chen Shuguang is the member of the Chinese Artists Association and artist of Beijing Painting Courtyard. She graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts from 1960 to 1963. She participated in the creation work of the People’s Heroes Monument relief in capital and statues in Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. The People’s Heroes Monument relief “Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Warfare” (in collaboration with Zhang Songhe) was awarded The Best Awards in the first national castle relief assessment in 1987 and three times awarded by Beijing City. Her work “Little Fat” was collected by the Chinese Art Gallery, “Young Lu Xun Portrayal” by Lu Xun Museum, “Sun Yat-Sen Statue” by Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall in Kobe, Japan, and “Mao Zedong Bronze relief” mounted on the car head of Mao Zedong locomotive. Her works have been exhibited many times both locally and overseas and published in a variety of newspapers and periodicals.。
