ZHONG CHENG

朱成 Zhu Cheng (b.1946)

Born in Chengdu, Sichuan, Zhu Chung devoted himself in oil painting in Daliangshan Sichuan from 1966 to 1972.  From 1978 to 1979, he received training courses at the Sculpture Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute.  His sculpture《千鈞一箭》 won him special prize in Fine works Award of Chinese Sports Exhibition and special prize from the China International Olympic Committee in 1985.  His works are kept at the National Art Museum of China, and displayed permanently at the headquarters of International Olympic Committee in Schweiz, Switzerland.  In 1987,《Daughter of The Moon》was nominated in National Outstanding City Sculpture Exhibition.  In 1993, 浪遏飛舟 won bronze prize in the third National Sports Exhibition.  In 1994, 《智慧之光》 relief sculpture on Deyang art wall won him the Outstanding award in the second City Sculpture Exhibition.  His art works have been displayed repeatedly in exhibitions, and treasured by many renowned institutions and collectors domestically and internationally.
