Residing in Beijing, Dong Zhuyi graduated from the Sculpture Department of Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1956. He pursued further studies at Russian Leningrad Sculpture Department of Repin Fine Arts Institute, and was honored the title of “artist”. Currently, he is a professor of the Sculpture Department in Central Academy of Fine Arts. A member of China Artists Association, his winning awards are Bronze sculptures 《The heroin Liu Hulan》, 《Nu Wa》, 《Music》and more.
