ZHONG CHENG

蘇新平 SU XINPING (b. 1960)

Born in Inner Mongolia, China. Su Xin Ping was graduated from the Painting Department, Tianjin Institute of Fine Arts in 1983. He continued his studies and was awarded the Master Degree in Printmaking from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing in 1989. Currently he is the Deputy Professor and the Deputy Head of Department of Printmaking in the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His recent major solo exhibitions include: “Su Xin Ping’s Lithographs”, Tyler Print Institute, Singapore, 2006; “Su Xin Ping’s Lithographs”, Red Gate Gallery, Beijing, China, 2006; “Today’s China Art Exhibition”, National Art Museum of China, Beijing, China, 2006; “Landscape--Solo Exhibition of Su Xin Ping”, Today Gallery, Beijing, China, 2007, He has been renowned in the contemporary art circle since 1989, and his works have been collected widely by many art institutions and private collectors at home and abroad.
