Born in Kaoshiung, Taiwan. Tu graduated from West Painting Department, Chinese Culture University in 1993. He became a full-time instructor in Fu-Hsin Trade & Art School between 1995 and 1999, and served as an instructor in Culture Bureau of Taipei County in 1999. Tu thengraduated from Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts, Tainan National College of Arts in 2005.
