唐暉 TANG HUI (b.1968)

Tang Hui was born in Wuhan, China in 1968. He graduated from the Hubei High School Academy of Fine Arts in 1987. After graduating from the mural department at the Beijing Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1991, he remained at the institute to teach until present day. He was nominated by Japan’s ARCUS Art Foundation in 1997 to become an artist in residence. In 2005, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Preforming Arts in Washington invited Tang to create the design of the carpet for “Chinese House.” In Tang Hu’s art a dream-like world is portrayed; his youthful mind fills the canvas with curiosity and imagination towards the unknown world. Recent exhibitions include: “Youth Art 100” (2015, Beijing, Phoenix Art 798 Art Space); “Impermanence of the Ordinary- Experience of the East and Contemporary Art” (2016, Shaanxi, Xi’an Art Museum); “Untitled Commemoration” (2016, Beijing, Hongkun Museum of Fine Arts).
