ZHONG CHENG

Born in Sichuan, China. Du graduated from Sichuan Fine Art Institute in 1956, and stayed teaching in the same school. Then to be a professor of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and a member of China Artists Association. . Du’s work is marked by profound skills and outstanding accomplishment in expression. As a painter having been influencing many painters of generations, is known for his oil painting and watercolor. Some of his paintings are housed in the National Museum of Soviet Russia, in the National Art Museum of China and in some private museums. His biography is selected in some important literature such as The Yearbook of China Fine Arts: 1949—1989 and The 60 Years of China Fine Arts.
