ZHONG CHENG

李全武 LI QUANWU (b.1957)

Li Quan Wu was born in Wuhan, Hubei. After graduating from Hubei University of Arts, he continued his education at the Central Institute of Fine Arts in the Department of Oil Painting in 1982. He emigrated to New York in 1985, and is represented by the major galleries there. For more than ten years, he held numerous solo and group exhibitions in the museums of U.S., Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and many more. His awards include the “6th China Gold Medal for Excellent Arts” and the “Switzerland National Arts Exhibition Honorary Award.” Li’s expertise in techniques is unmeasurable, with passion and sincerity he constructed his unique style. Art historians described him as “The contemporary realist painter is one that creates with the delicateness of classical European Realism in combination with oriental poetry.”
