Born in Inner Mongolia, China. Wang began to create oil painting and wood sculpture in 1979. He graduated from Stage Design, Central Academy of Theatre in 1986, and now is a professional artist. In 1986, He held his first Wood Sculpture Exhibition at Friendship Hotel in Beijing. His major solo exhibitions include: “2nd Wood Sculpture Exhibition”, French Embassy, Beijing, 1987; “Great Tang Series”, Yi Bo Gallery, Shanghai, 2002; “Great Han Series”, J Gallery, Hong Kong, 2003; “Great Song Series”, Munich, Germany, 2006; “Great Ming Dynasty”, Red Gate Gallery, Beijing, 2007. He had collaborated with Red Gate Gallery in Beijing for 15 years, and held 11 exhibitions in this period.
